Medieval Celtic minstrel Koth na Fiach will be playing at Tewkesbury Medieval Festival this year, using the latest prototype of the Dark Age Crafts 12-String Gaulish Lyre.
There won’t be a Dark Age Crafts trading stall at this one, but if you’re interested in buying a lyre, or just trying one out, you can talk to Koth – he’s more approachable than he looks and he rarely uses that sword on the public…
The video page has been updated with some clips of medieval and folk songs performed with a Dark Age Crafts lyre.
Dark Age Crafts will have a stall at the May Fayre in the grounds of Glastonbury Abbey this year. This event has been growing rapidly over the last few years and should be a lively weekend!
After a great weekend at Herstmonceux Castle, a few days have had to be spent recuperating – now it’s time to get some more timber ordered in from the sawmill and pick up the chisel again 😉
Hopefully the elder tree which has been providing welcome shade from the sun this week will appreciate the large quantity of maple sawdust….
